Aurigny Baggage Report Card

Checked Bag Allowance7 / 10
Excess Baggage Fees7 / 10
Overall Grade7.3 / 10

Passengers on Aurigny flights have 20 Kgs hold allowance included in the price of their ticket, except for flights between Alderney- Southampton and Guernsey-Dinard where the allowance is 15 kgs.

Infants
Travelling free of charge or at any designated infant fare do not have a baggage allowance, other than that accompanying passengers are permitted to carry, on their behalf: a carrycot or small wheeled collapsible buggy and a reasonable amount of food and drink for the flight. Note: on occasion it has been noted that carrycots are checked-in, ostensibly for the use of the infant, but in fact are completely filled with other items (for example large stocks of food etc.) in this case the carrycot will be counted as normal checked baggage under the rules stated above.

Students
Channel Island-based students travelling to and from their place of study in UK may claim an additional 20kgs hold luggage concession, on production of a valid student card. The additional 20Kgs will be accepted subject to space available. If the additional baggage is sent on an alternative flight, carriage is only on an airport to airport basis; the passenger will have to make arrangements to collect from the destination airport.

Hold Baggage Allowances for passengers with Connecting Flights
Passengers connecting to/from other airline, departing within 24 hours of their Aurigny arrival/departure, may purchase an increased Connecting Luggage Allowance to match the total free luggage allowance on their connecting flight, up to a maximum 40kgs. The fee for this additional allowance is GBP 28 per person, per flight. Any weight above the connecting carrier's free luggage allowance will incur Excess Baggage charges.
In order to qualify for the Connecting Luggage Allowance passengers will be required to show proof of connecting flight bookings and the free luggage entitlement when checking-in for their Aurigny flight.
Passengers transferring to/from carriers that have no free luggage allowance will incur Excess Baggage charges on any weights over their Aurigny allowance.

This scheme will not include enhanced luggage allowances granted by other carriers in respect of Frequent Flyer scheme members, Gold Card holders etc.

Hand (cabin) luggage allowances are not included in this scheme.

Please note that the maximum weight for any single piece of baggage on Aurigny services is 28Kgs.
