Alaska Airlines is a very windsurfer-friendly airline, not charging additional overweight/oversize fees. Windsurfing Equipment is accepted as checked baggage on Alaska Airlines flights. Standard checked baggage fees apply, but oversize and overweight fees are waived. Alaska Airlines allows for multiple piece to be checked in and considered as a single piece of checked luggage, so you may pack your board separately from the sail and rig.
