Carry-On Summary

Iceland Air has 3 seat classes, with different carry-on rules. Economy Class passengers are entitled to a single piece of hand-luggage, weighing no more than 10kg (22lbs). Passengers flying Economy Comfort and Saga Class can bring two carry-on bags, weighing maximum 10kg each.

All passengers can bring an additional "Personal Item", such as a purse or jacket.

All items must be able to fit below the seat in front of you, or into the overhead compartments.

Checked Baggage Summary

Iceland Air operates using the typical Piece Concept, with limits on the total number of pieces/bags you can check in.

Economy Class passengers are entitled to 2 bags of 23kg (50 lbs) each, if flying to/from Canada or the US. Only 1 bag of 23kg is allowed if flying within Europe.

Economy Comfort passengers can always bring 2 bags of 23kg (50lbs) each, while Saga Class allows for 2 bags of 32kg (70lbs) each. These apply for all routes.

Excess/Oversize/Overweight Summary

Additional bags of standard weight (less than 23kg/50lbs) will cost you 44 EUR if flying within Europe, 100 EUR if between Iceland and the USA/Canada, and 114 EUR if between Europe and the USA/Canada.

Overweight bags will also be charged, at a rate of 38 EUR within Europe, 93 EUR between Iceland and the USA/Canada, or 105 EUR if between Europe and the USA/Canada. Bags heavier than 23kg/50lbs are considered "Overweight".

Reminder: No bag can weigh more than 32kg/70lbs, you will have to split the contents into 2 bags.

If you have an extra bag that is also overweight, you will be charged both fees, so it could end up being quite expensive.
