Baggage allowance for children under 2 years of age
If you are traveling with your infant on your lap, you can carry 1 additional small baggage item in the cabin at no extra charge. This baggage item must weigh less than 12 kg / 26.4 lb and measure less than 55 x 25 x 35 / 21 in x 13 in x 9 in.
A small foldable stroller* (maximum size: 15 cm x 30 cm x 100 cm / 5.9 in x 11.8 in x 39.4 in) may also be accepted in the cabin. All other foldable strollers (maximum size: 55 cm x 35 cm x 25 cm / 21 in x 13 in x 9 in) may be accepted on board as a replacement for the hand baggage allowance for infants.
For security reasons, some airports may have to deny access to strollers inside the boarding areas.
Valuable and fragile items
We recommend you transport all valuable items, fragile items and necessities in your hand baggage.
Valuable items : keys, ID cards, important documents, money, valuable objects, jewelry, etc.
Necessities : for example, medicine
Fragile items : cameras, computers (turned off)
Special conditions apply to the use of electronic devices on board. These conditions vary based on the type of device and the flight phase.
Electronic devices (mobile phones, tablets, etc.) may be used in the cabin during all phases of flight, as long as these devices are in airplane mode. You must keep these devices in hand or stow them during taxi, takeoff and landing. Laptops and similar large devices must be turned off and stowed during taxi, takeoff and landing.
Electronic devices that do not feature an airplane mode must be turned off during all phases of flight, as they may cause interference.
Other electronic devices (portable music players, handheld gaming consoles, etc.) may also be used in flight, as long as they do not transmit data (Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc.).
Air France Economy passengers are always allowed only a single checked bag, of maximum 23kg/50lbs, with a few exceptions that allow for increased allowances.
If flying in Air France Economy Premium, Business, or La Premiere, you will typically be allowed 2 free checked bags, with each bag limited to 32kg/70lbs (23kg/50lbs for Premium Economy).
Flying Blue members are allowed 1 extra piece of luggage free of charge.
