Carry-On Summary

There is a maximum one carry-on bag that you are allowed to take onto the plane, with dimensions being no larger than 23 x 40 x 51cm. However, Sunwing does have a strict limit of only 5kg in terms of weight, so you are very limited in how much you can take as a carry-on item.

Checked Baggage Summary

Everyone is allowed to check baggage that is no larger than 158cm (62 in), when combining length + width + height.

Weight limits are dependent on the cabin class you are flying in, with Elite being allowed 20kg of checked baggage, whilst Elite Plus gets an extra allowance of 10kg more, for a total of 30kg.

Exception: For flights to/from Europe, everyone has the same limit of 25kg maximum.

Excess/Oversize/Overweight Summary

Overweight baggage will be charged on a per kilogram basis. The usual rate is $20/kg of excess baggage (anything exceeding the amount specified for your flight). A reduced rate of $10/kg is applied for Domestic and Transborder (Canada to/from US) flights.

Special rates may apply for some specific routes, such as Amsterdam-Toronto, so be sure to check the exact rules for your specific flight.
