Spirit Airlines Kitesurfing Equipment Policy

Kiteboards are accepted on Spirit Airlines flights. These are considered as a standard surfboard, and Spirit's surfboard rules apply.

Kiteboards that exceed 62 linear inches will be classified as surfing equipment and will have a special charge per direction (charged at the airport on the day of departure).

A charge of $100 applies to kitesurfing equipment, as it is treated as a surfboard. Click here to view the Spirit Airlines Surfboard policies
