Sunwing Bike Fees and Policies

Sunwing will accept bikes on its flights for a flat fee of $75 each way. This higher fee is in effect as of December 5th 2023, with bikes previously costing only $25. Bikes must be properly packaged / prepared for check-in and carriage in the cargo hold of the aircraft and are subject to certain limitations. Maximum 1 bike per person.

The bicycle must be prepared as follows, prior to arrival at the airport:
- Fix the handlebars sideways
- Deflate tires
- Remove the pedals
- Place the bicycle in a rigid and/or hard shell container specifically designed for carriage in the baggage hold of the aircraft
- Bicycle suitcases containing collapsible bicycles are also permitted [AMZ asins='B00JEILGMK,B00FRG7Q7W,B018FF6EV0,B00FNSS6QY']

A limited release form will be signed at check-in, releasing Sunwing of any liability.

Cost of Travelling with a Bike on Sunwing Airlines in 2024
$75 CAD one-way flat fee per bicycle (previously $25). E-Bikes are prohibited.

Passengers are not permitted to include personal items such as clothing or other non-related items in the sport equipment container.

Passengers are required to show their receipt as proof of payment for the return sector when round-trip charges have been applied at the outbound Canadian airport.

Sunwing reserves the right to limit the number of such special articles that may be carried in the cargo hold and is limited to one item for one passenger only, please call and advise the Sunwing Reservations Department if you will be traveling with sporting equipment.
