Insel Air Kitesurfing Equipment Policy

Windsurf equipment: Windsurf equipment bag may consist of: a board, a mast, sail and a boom.
Kitesurf equipment: Kitesurf equipment bag may consist of a board and a kite bag (all in one bag).
Surf/body board equipment: Surf/body board equipment bag may consist of 1 surf/body board & all fins must be removed.
For all equipment the following applies

Maximum length bag/equipment: 292 cm.
Maximum weight: 23 kg.
If weight is between 23-32 kg, an excess weight fee of USD 40 applies in addition to the $100 fee for the transport of the equipment bag.

Only limited space is available on Fokker 50 and Fokker 70 aircraft.
Equipment bag will be sent on the next available MD-80 flight.
InselAir may ask you to drop off your equipment ahead of your flight as your equipment might be transported to its final destination on another flight.
Passengers are allowed to bring only one piece of equipment bag per flight.
A flat fee of USD 50 applies per bag, one-way, for all non-USA destinations.
A flat fee of USD 100 applies per bag, one-way, for all USA destinations.
All transportation of equipment must be submitted to InselAir Customer Service Department* at the time of reservation.
We advise you to book your flight and plan the transportation of equipment ahead of time since space on aircraft is limited.

Length: 292cm max, however the transportation depends on the available aircraft.
Fee: USD 100 per stretch (one-way) per piece of equipment (max 23kg).
A fee of USD 40 is applicable in addition to the USD 100 fee, if baggage weight is between 23kg and 32kg.
Procedure:

At least 5 business days prior to your travel a request needs to be send per email with the specifications of your equipment, your ticket number and full name to our Customer Service Department customerrelations@fly-inselair.com
The Customer Service Department will confirm or decline your request per email within 2 business days
InselAir may ask you to drop off your equipment ahead of your flight as your equipment might be transported on another flight
Although we always do our utmost, be aware that only limited space is available on our aircraft and we cannot guarantee the (timely) transportation of your equipment
At the time of an event in the Region that we serve, the transportation of multiple equipment might be extra challenging due to the many requests we usually receive
