Bicycles can be carried on Fiji Airways as checked baggage. If exceeding the size limits of standard baggage, your bike will be treated as a "Bulky Item".
Bulky items consist of any 'one' piece exceeding 158cm (62in) but not exceeding 277cm (109in) in total dimension [length + width + height], at a maximum weight of 23kg (50lbs), (may include surfboards, golf bags and other equipment) [AMZ asins='B00JEILGMK,B00FRG7Q7W,B018FF6EV0,B00FNSS6QY']
The Fiji Airways "Bulky Item" fee depends on the origin and destination of your flight. Approximate fees are as follows:
Australia - Fiji/Pacific Islands: $65 AUD
Australia - Hong Kong / Japan / Singapore: $120 AUD
Australia - US/Canada: $140 AUD
New Zealand - Fiji/Pacific Islands: $120 NZD
New Zealand - Hong Kong / Japan / Singapore: $120 NZD
New Zealand - US/Canada: $180 NZD
USA - Fiji: $140 USD
USA - Pacific Islands: $150 USD ($200 USD Peak Period: 05/15-07/15 and 11/15-12/31)
Canada - All Destinations: $190 CAD
Please note that you may still be charged the extra bag fee as well as any possible overweight baggage fees for your bike, in addition to the bulky item fee.
