Edelweiss Air accepts windsurfing equipment to fly free in addition to your free checked baggage allowance.

Even though your windsurf gear flies for free, you still have to register it by adding it to your flight reservation at least 4 days before departure. You can do so via the Edelweiss Air website. [AMZ asins='B07WSRXMS8,3903038180,3937323228,B00JE3E028']

Your board bag will be accepted for free as long as it weighs less than 23 kg / 50 lbs. The maximum allowed length is 315 cm. Only 1 piece of sports equipment is accepted free of charge - extra items you will have to pay the standard extra bag fee for your flight.

Be careful not to exceed the 23 kg / 50 lbs weigh limit with your windsurf bag - if your board bag weighs more than 23 kg / 50 lbs, up to a maximum of 32 kg / 70 lbs, you can still fly with it on Edelweiss, but you will have to pay the "Category Big" sports equipment fee, which can get quite expensive.
