A windsurf board, not exceeding 115 inches in length.
A mast.
A sail.
An equipment set-up kit.

Passengers travelling with windsurf gear must make a reservation for the board when purchasing their ticket or 48 hours prior to the departure of their flight by calling the Reservation Center. If you do not do this, COPA Airlines may refuse to accept your board bag at the check-in desk.

Acceptance of windsurf gear and surfboards is subject to space availability, which varies by type of aircraft:
Boeing 737 MAX 9: 4 board bags or cases
Boeing 737-700: 4 board bags or cases
Boeing 737-800: 4 board bags or cases

Please make sure that equipment is properly packed in cases that are suited for transport.

Windsurf gear on COPA Airlines is treated as "Large Sports Equipment", meaning it will incur a flat fee of $150 USD, for both international and domestic flights, regardless of whether it is part of the passenger’s luggage allowance.

Your windsurf will not be subject to overweight or oversize luggage fees. The maximum weight allowed is 100 pounds (45 kilograms), and the maximum size allowed is 115 linear inches (294 linear centimeters).

Windsurf boards may not be accepted for transport during embargo periods, which are typically high-season weeks (July 1 - August 30, and December 1 - January 17) with limits on excess baggage allowed on certain flight routes. [AMZ asins='B07WSRXMS8,3903038180,3937323228,B00JE3E028']
