Copa Airlines Windsurfing Equipment Policy

Transportation charge
A service fee of US $100 applies.

For flights within Colombia and Panama, there will be no additional costs provided that the items fall under the terms of allowed luggage.

Copa Airlines permits the transport of windsurf equipment as part of the allowable baggage or subject to a service fee. Acceptable windsurf items include:

A windsurf board, not exceeding 115 inches in length.
A mast.
A sail.
An equipment set-up kit.
Below you will see a list of things to keep in mind when packing your windsurf equipment for the flight:

Copa Airlines will accept, as checked baggage, one piece of windsurf equipment not exceeding 100 pounds.
Those items that exceed the established weight and size restrictions (45 kg/100 lb and 62") must be transported as cargo.
The items must be packed appropriately to protect them and avoid any damage during transport.
The windsurf equipment cannot be checked as baggage on itineraries that include segments on other airlines' airplanes.
Windsurf boards will not be accepted for transport during embargo periods.
