Allegiant does not publish a specific surfboard policy, however it is possible to fit a surfboard with Allegiant's policies, if you are willing to pay for it. Sporting equipment is considered as standard checked baggage, and all applicable checked baggage fees apply. If exceeding the 80 inch, 40lbs size and weight limits, additional fees will apply.
Most surfboards, even small shortboards, will not fit within Allegiant's 80 inch size limits, so you will not be able to pass off your board as a standard piece of baggage. However, you are able to pay a $75 oversize fee, if your bag is larger than 80 inches but less than 115 inches. Your shortboards will fit within this 115 inch limit, and you should be able to fit 2 shortboards in a bag while staying within the 40lbs weight restriction. Longboards and most SUPs will not fit within the 115 inch limit
