Air New Zealand accepts snowboards free of charge as part of your regular free checked baggage allowance, in place of a regular suitcase. Your snowboard bag must be less than 2.00 meters long, and weigh less than 23 kg / 50 lbs.

If your snowboard bag is brought as an extra item in addition to your suitcases, you will have to pay the regular Extra Bag fee, as if it were an extra suitcase. [AMZ asins='B07F8BZXFB,B085129W7P,B074FV9XFX,B083178YD3,B09HP9W8G8,B01MZYYICB']

If your snowboard bag weighs more than 23 kg / 50 lbs, Air New Zealand's standard Overweight Baggage fee will apply, up to a maximum weight of 32 kg / 70 lbs. If your snowboard bag is longer than 2.00 m in length, an Oversize Baggage fee will also apply. The maximum length allowed is 2.50 m.

Note: Some size restrictions apply if flying domestically on smaller aircraft, as items larger than 180 x 80 x 120 cm will not fit. Please contact Air New Zealand for assistance. [AMZ asins='B07F8BZXFB,B085129W7P,B074FV9XFX,B083178YD3,B09HP9W8G8,B01MZYYICB']
