Qatar Airways Fishing Rod Fees

Qatar Airways accepts fishing equipment as part of your free checked baggage allowance.

A set of fishing equipment normally consists of two rods, one reel, one landing net, one pair of fishing boots, and one fishing tackle box. A weight limit of 23 kg / 50 lbs applies, with a maximum length of 300 cm for your rod case. [AMZ asins='B000E3E22A,B008BR23FY,B00YEH5PQO,B00SXZMQTM']

If brought in place of a regular suitcase, your fishing equipment can fly for free as long as you don't exceed the weight limit. Otherwise the Overweight fee will be charged.

Bringing your fishing equipment in excess of your regular baggage allowance, normal excess baggage rates apply. In this case, we recommend prepaying online, as it is significantly cheaper than paying the higher rates at the airport.
