Fishing Equipment is accepted by Hawaiian Airlines as a piece of checked baggage. Regular baggage fees apply, and standard oversize and overweight fees may be charged.

Fishing equipment is defined as follows:
Two rods
One reel
One landing net
One pair of fishing boots (all properly encased)
One fishing tackle box [AMZ asins='B000E3E22A,B008BR23FY,B00YEH5PQO,B00SXZMQTM']

Fishing poles must be no more than 115 inches (292 cm) long.

When in excess each item will be subject to the excess baggage charge for a single piece, whether or not presented as a single piece.

Please view the regular Hawaiian Airlines Baggage Fees page for standard baggage, oversize, and overweight fees which may apply.

We recommend packing your fishing rods into a hard-shell case such as the Plano Airliner Telescoping Rod Case for maximum protection during travel.
