Emirates Fishing Rod Fees

Emirates will accept fishing equipment as checked baggage and part of your standard baggage allowance. If you exceed your standard checked baggage allowance, regular excess/oversize/overweight baggage fees may apply to your fishing equipment.

On most Emirates flights, where a Weight-based baggage allowance is involved, total linear dimensions must be within 300cm. On Piece Concept flights (to/from North America, for example), a size limit of 150cm linear dimensions per piece is applicable. In this case, you may be charged the applicable standard oversize and/or overweight baggage fees if your fishing rod exceeds these dimensions. Charge applicable: $250 USD / $250 CAD

Emirates Excess Weight Charge (23-32 kg / 50-70 lbs) for journeys involving Canada and North America
Applicable charge: $75 USD / $75 CAD

Emirates Oversize Charge (Exceeding 150cm) for journeys involving South and Central America
Charge applicable: $250 USD / $250 CAD
