Edelweiss Air Fishing Rod Fees

Edelweiss Air will take your fishing rod and tackle box free of charge in addition to your free checked baggage allowance.

You fishing equipment will fly for free as long as it weighs less than 23 kg / 50 lbs. Only 1 piece of sports equipment is accepted free of charge - extra items you will have to pay the standard extra bag fee for your flight. [AMZ asins='B000E3E22A,B008BR23FY,B00YEH5PQO,B00SXZMQTM']

In the case of fishing equipment, Edelweiss will count your Rod Case and Tackle box together as a single item, even if presented as 2 separate pieces at check-in. The maximum dimensions of your rod case are not to exceed 200 cm.

If your fishing equipment weighs more than 23 kg / 50 lbs, up to maximum of 32 kg / 70 lbs, you can still bring with Edelweiss, but you will have to pay the "Category Big" sports equipment fee, as follows:

Flights to/from Europe:
Category Normal (up to 23 kg): CHF 0.-
Category Big (up to 32 kg): CHF 149.-

Flights to/from North Africa and Jordan:
Category Normal (up to 23 kg): CHF 0.-
Category Big (up to 32 kg): CHF 201.-

Flights to/from Short-haul intercontinental destinations:
Category Normal (up to 23 kg): CHF 0.-
Category Big (up to 32 kg): CHF 287.-

Flights to/from Medium-haul intercontinental destinations:
Category Normal (up to 23 kg): CHF 0.-
Category Big (up to 32 kg): CHF 368.-

Flights to/from Long-haul intercontinental destinations:
Category Normal (up to 23 kg): CHF 0.-
Category Big (up to 32 kg): CHF 460.-
